Be Prepared for a Fire - Make a Fire Escape Plan
12/1/2020 (Permalink)
SERVPRO of Wheaton / Glen Ellyn / Lisle knows that having a plan is the best way to prepare your family in case of a fire emergency. It does not take a great deal of work, but it can be the difference in being able to protect your family.
Your plan should be simple and easy to follow. Here are some suggestions from Ready.gov to help make a plan for your family in case of a fire:
- Involve your children when making the plan so that they are ready in case of a fire.
- Teach children not to hide from firefighters.
- Find two ways to get out of each room.
- Practice the plan so your children know what to do in case of a fire.
- Practice feeling your way out of the house in the dark.
Taking the time to come up with a plan is an important part of protecting your family in the event of a fire.
Home fires can happen at any time, but you can make sure that your family is ready in case it happens. If you need additional resources, call SERVPRO of Wheaton / Glen Ellyn / Lisle at (630) 384-1040 and we can help!
